Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, surrounded by loving and devoted parents. He is the oldest son of elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who instilled her faith in God's grace to her son at a very young age.
The LoveWorld ministry is supported by the entire family. His brother Reverend Ken, is the esteemed Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and an active member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which houses a variety of top gospel artists in the world.
Chris Oyakhilome Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father's lead of sharing God's Word with all people. Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a gifted gospel singer and is a part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome received his education in Edo College. He then received a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University. He holds an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he was called by God to be a priest and serving the Lord.

While in the university The Man of God began what would turn out to be the biggest church worldwide. It started with the formation of a small prayer group known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would eventually become the basis for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers worldwide.
Under the leadership of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming.
